Family-owned since 1985
The Story Behind Your Fence
Two generations of quality fencing on the North Shore.
Olympic Fence is a family-owned fence company based in West Newbury, Massachusetts. David LaPierre started it in 1985, and today his son James LaPierre runs it, making us a second-generation business with more than 40 years on the North Shore. We install residential and commercial fencing built to handle real New England weather, and we back our work with a lifetime workmanship warranty. We are members of the American Fence Association. For us, a better fence starts with a better process, one built on honesty, skill, and doing the job right the first time.
How did Olympic Fence get started?
David LaPierre founded Olympic Fence in West Newbury in 1985. He built the company by taking on the commercial and municipal projects other contractors turned down, the difficult and unusual jobs, and finishing them on schedule without cutting corners. That reputation for handling hard work the right way is still the standard every crew works to today.
A new generation
James LaPierre, David's son, leads the company now. He grew up around the trade and learned it on real job sites, not in a showroom. James keeps the same focus on quality and reliability his father built the name on, while bringing in modern materials and a smoother, more professional experience for every homeowner and business we work with.
What makes Olympic Fence different?
Two things set us apart from most fence companies on the North Shore.
First, our proprietary wood-on-steel post system. It anchors a wood fence to steel posts, so you get the look of real wood with strength that outlasts standard wood-post construction through frost heaves and storms. Second, our lifetime workmanship warranty, which goes well past the two or three years most fence companies offer. We are not the cheapest fence company, and we do not try to be. We aim to be the best value: quality materials and careful installation at a fair price. If you want to see how that holds up against a big-box option, read our Olympic Fence vs. The Home Depot comparison.
What can you expect when you work with us?
Our family's reputation is built into every fence we install. When you hire us, you can count on three things.
We build fences to stand up to harsh New England winters, using methods like our wood-on-steel post system so your fence lasts for decades, not seasons.
Clear communication, a crew that shows up when we say we will, and respect for your property. We keep the job site clean from the first call to the final walkthrough.
We live in the same towns we serve. We are after long-term relationships built on trust and reliability, not one-time jobs.
